You have to admit if you like clothes, it's more fun being a woman than a man. (Makes me think of that song from Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Flower Drum Song": I Enjoy Being a Girl. Hear it below. Beware, it's catchy.) We have so many options. Men can chose from what? Shirts (long sleeve, short sleeve, sleeveless) and pants (long and shorts, and a few can pull off cropped pants, LOL.) But we get all of the above, plus dresses and skirts of varying lengths and cuts and styles. There are so many variations when it comes to dresses.

What to Wear When it's Summer Weather in the Winter

Happy Washington's Birthday, National Margarita Day and Full Moon! Who knew February 22 was such a party day? LOL Hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was busy but good. Quality time with loved ones always makes the days good, regardless of the activities. For some reason my son woke up at 5:45a on Saturday morning (then slept in until 6:45 today, go figure) so my weekend started early. We got out of the house early to get the car washed (our car came with free car washes for life when we bought it a little over a year ago) only to find out that the dealer has cancelled that perk due to the California drought.

So Monday is National Margarita Day. Monday doesn't seem like the best day of the week to celebrate an alcoholic beverage, LOL. Apparently its every February 22, but I think it should be a day like Thanksgiving, that adjusts to always be on Friday or weekend day. But I guess if you DO go out celebrating Margarita Day on Monday, these tips below will be all the more useful to you if you still have to do the usual Tuesday grind the next day

Valentine's Casual Style

Wasn't it nice having Valentine's Day on a 3-day weekend? Worked out especially well for me and my hubby, since he actually had to work most of the day on the 14th, so we celebrated Valentine's Day on the 15th. We did lunch and a movie (we're able to have the grandparent's babysit) and it was nice to just have a day date together.

The Perfect Swimsuit - thanks to Target

Alright, who's ready for swimsuit season?! LOL, I know, what am I talking about, right? It's still freezing around the country (in SoCal, "freezing" = 50 degrees.) And we're all still kicking our New Years fitness resolutions into gear. No one feels they're in "swimsuit shape" in February. But that's exactly the point of Target's #NOFOMO campaign. It stands for "No Fear of Missing Out" and encourages women (anyone, really) to get out there an enjoy what life has to offer, and not let your insecurities hold you back. We should not miss out on opportunities/activities/invitations because we aren't "swimsuit" ready.
